Billie has extensive experience in working with youth, families and adults from diverse life experiences and cultures. She holds a masters degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. In additional to being a Board Certified, Registered Art Therapist, she is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
In 2014, after working in New England as an Art Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Billie returned to her hometown, Miami. Billie is passionate and skilled in art therapy, a counseling process that uses non-verbal expressions to facilitate therapeutic dialogue. Her practice focuses on life issues that include anxiety, trauma and depression.
Billie offers clients a wide variety of art materials to discover personal insights. However, she is quick to explain that art therapy does not require any perceived art talent or prior training.
“Art therapy taps into our innate ability to share feelings and is accessible to everyone .”
